Join artist Amanda Penrose-Hart next month for a masterclass in painting.
Participants will take a step outside the studio, into the environment to investigate and interpret suburban life.
After a walk through the neighbourhood and along the Nepean River to sketch, there will be the opportunity in the studio, to explore through paint, a theme close to Amanda’s heart, ‘place’ and the everyday.
Glean new insights, explore your own style, extend your painting skills or be artistically reinvigorated.
Currently exhibiting at Penrith Regional Gallery within Hill End: Seven Decades, Amanda Penrose-Hart demonstrates a keen understanding of the power of place in painting.
Penrose-Hart’s style illuminates both a deep pleasure in the act of painting, and a quirky appreciation for places of human habitation.
Penrose-Hart has a Diploma of Fine Art from Queensland College of Art and a Bachelor of Visual Art from Griffith University and has held twenty solo exhibitions.
She is well represented in public and private collections including Australian National Maritime Museum, Hawkesbury Regional Art Gallery, Taronga Park Zoo, Sydney, University of Sydney Art Collection, among many more.
Bring a sketch book and drawing and painting materials. Tuition, studio, and easels provided.
