Trendsetters showed off their sense of style as fashion fanatics converged on Westfield Mount Druitt on the weekend.
Westfield’s annual Fashion Weekend competition saw a group of finalists battle it out for the major prize on Saturday.
The #yourstyleyourstory exhibition pitted a range of fashion senses against each other, as onlookers voted for the overall winner.
In the end it was Ashley May who won the day with her throwback 90s alternative look. Ms May took home a $500 Westfield gift card for winning the people’s choice award.
Westfield Mount Druitt centre manager Michael Beverly said hosts Emma and Mike E from The Edge kept the crowd of onlookers entertained throughout the event.
“It’s really important to engage with our local community and understand what style means to them,” Mr Beverly said.
“The launch of our #yourstylestory exhibition is a great opportunity to profile local talent and start the conversation around fashion. We want to make sure we are listening to the needs of the local community.”
More than 50 retail stores offered special deals as the centre held two days of sales on Saturday and Sunday. Stores including Platypus, Cotton On, Supre, Connor, Factorie, yd, Tarocash and Foot Locker got in on the act. Live music was a big hit throughout the weekend, while the juice bar pumped out more than 800 drinks.
