Penrith National Servicemen's Association Inc march down Queen Street, St Marys

Penrith National Servicemen's Association Inc. held its annual full military parade down Queen Street, St Marys on Sunday.

Crowds gathered to watch the ‘Nashos’ march at about 2.30pm, which ended with a ceremony held at Victoria Park.

Servicemen’s associations members from the Blacktown, Hawkesbury and Cumberland branches also took part in the ceremonies.

St Marys police officers also joined in the march to represent the efforts of police who served in times of war.

Navy, army and airforce cadets from Penrith were also included in the march. 

Major general Paul Erving took the salute supported by John Taylor president of Penrith City National Servicemen's Association Inc.

Penrith National Servicemen’s Association Inc. publicity officer Maureen Gildart offered a special thanks to St Marys police for their assistance and all who made the march possible.

She said the club’s meetings were held every third Sunday of the month at Penrith RSL Club at 10.30am, and new members were welcome.
