A driver is on the loose after a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run in Milperra in Sydney's south-west on Sunday morning.
Natasha Gadd, 19, was struck in Henry Lawson Drive about 4.30am by what has been described as a white Toyota ute.
The driver took off and was last seen travelling south down Henry Lawson Drive.
Emergency services quickly arrived and tried to resuscitate Ms Gadd but she died at the scene.
Her family have described her as fun, loving and energetic and have been left devastated by her death.
Ms Gadd has also been described as hard-working; she worked at McDonald's and Iconic Warehouse.
She was also a promising soccer player.
In an interview with Channel Nine, her distraught mother Charmain praised her dedication.
"I was always proud of her. Anything that she put her mind to, she could do," she said.
"Put yourself in my shoes. How would it feel to wake up this morning to that news?" she added.
"My baby is never coming home."
Friends and family have posted a number of posts on Facebook praising Ms Gadd for her bubbly, outgoing personality.

Her family has also urged the driver of the ute to turn himself in to police.
"Accidents happen, but when you take off, that's no accident," Ms Gadd's aunt Mel told Channel Nine.
The ute, believed to have a refrigeration unit in the rear tray, also lost a side mirror, which police hope will help identify the vehicle.
Henry Lawson Drive was closed while police carried out their investigations, although it has since reopened and traffic has returned to normal.
The woman is the seventh person to die on NSW roads since Thursday afternoon in what has been a horror start to the school holidays.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward with information by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1 800 333 000.
