A woman was taken to hospital for treatment after a crash in Shalvey on Monday afternoon.

The woman, believed to be in her 30s, and two children were in a car driving along Luxford Road about 1pm when it crashed into a motorbike.

Paramedics from NSW Ambulance treated the woman for an arm wound at the scene, before taking her to Mount Druitt Hospital.

The children were not injured, according to a NSW Ambulance spokesman.

Mobile phone footage posted to Facebook of the aftermath of the incident shows a male being chased from the scene.

Witnesses reported that he had been involved in the crash.
