The NRMA Roadshow travels to Rooty Hill RSL this Thursday (October 12). NRMA Local Director David Bentham urged members to attend to discuss the concerns of motorists and commuters. The roadshow starts at 10am and lunch will be provided. Supporting partners will also be present to showcase their services. Call 1800 285 677 or go to mynrma.com.au/roadshows.
Mr Bentham looked forward to meeting western Sydney members.
“We’ve taken a new approach to the Member Roadshows this year, with stalls from a range of organisations that are relevant to our Members, creating a more flexible and interactive event," he said.
“The Roadshow is also a great opportunity to hear from NRMA experts across a range of fields, including our advocacy team who champion the priorities of our members.”
The NRMA particularly wants to hear from members about what they thought the major transport issues were in their area and how the NRMA could ensure they got the most of their membership.
“Some of the issues expected to be raised by NRMA members in the Western Sydney region include growing transport costs, road safety and local road issues,” Mr Bentham said.
“The NRMA has successfully campaigned for road infrastructure investment around the western Sydney airport, improved commuter car parking and automated vehicle trials at Sydney Olympic Park. I suspect our Members will also want to hear about the $210 million funding backlog for local roads, the Sydney Metro West to increase capacity on the western line and the possibility of Western Sydney getting its own holiday park.”
Members will also hear the NRMA’s take on the future of mobility and a Tesla car will be available for motoring enthusiasts to go for chauffeured drives to get a taste of what an electrified vehicle feels like.
