A 20-year-old man has died after being struck by a Holden ute in Sydney's north-west in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Victoria Road and Cowell Street, Gladesville.
Police and emergency services arrived just after 2.10am and found the man, James Gray from Abbotsford, suffering from serious injuries.
Mr Gray had reportedly spent a night out with friends at a nearby pub, then visited a local kebab shop, before deciding to head home, AAP reports.
It is understood he was crossing the street in an unmarked area when he was hit.
He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition, but died a short time later.

The driver of the utility, a 30-year-old man, was also taken to Royal North Shore Hospital, to be treated for shock and to undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.
It is understood police have interviewed companions of the victim to understand the circumstances that led to the accident.
Police have not laid any charges at this stage.
Crash investigation officers attended early on Saturday morning.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
