Six years ago, Ep Weatherhead received news that would change her life forever.
“My husband – the father of my three children – committed suicide,” she said.
“If there was some kind of support service available to my family, the outcome may have been different.
“Perhaps my husband could have reached out for help if he knew who to turn to.”
Throughout November you’ll find the professional barber at Made By The Hill’s pop-up barber shop, where Ms Weatherhead is offering haircuts starting from a $10 donation to raise funds for the Movember Foundation.
“There’s three areas Movember is heavily involved with, which is raising awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide,” she said.
“It’s time for everyone to support men’s health and Movember is the perfect time to do it.”

Ms Weatherhead said part of the reason she decided to pick up a straight razor and badger was to put her creative talents to use.
“For me, it’s not about the hair cuts, it’s about connecting with people,” she said. “I love people and I get to talk to people all day long about anything and everything.”
Made By The Hill will also host the ‘Movember Goes Wild’ party on November 18, featuring six of the world’s biggest dance superstars including Fragma, DJ Sammy, Alice DJ, Pandora, 666 and Nick Skitz.
Tickets are from $49 and all proceeds will go straight to the Movember Foundation – with the goal to achieve $30,000 for the Movember Foundation and Men’s Health.
“We are so excited to have teamed up with WILD and Movember to host this fun and one-of-a kind event that is raising funds and awareness for men’s health,” Simon Greally, general manager of marketing at Made By The Hill said.
“Talking about men’s health is very important and something we wanted to shed light on in the local community - be it over a beer and burger or with mates at a super fun dance party.
“Guests will be able to party the night away and relive all the WILD dance hits from the noughties while knowing they are supporting an awesome cause.”
