Hawkesbury Gazette
The Hawkesbury Gazette is an award-winning newspaper first published in 1888.

The team is proud to have earned its place in the region as a local institution and publication of choice, well known for providing a voice to the people, celebrating their successes and fighting for their causes.

Development in the region has seen it transform from a primarily rural locale comprising sparse townships. Now interspersed between the still-rich rural areas, are residential pockets, offering a more metropolitan lifestyle.

It is this mix that adds to the charm of the region ... the ultimate city meets country.

The Hawkesbury has been dubbed Sydney's food bowl, due to the volume of fresh produce delivered from farms in the region. Our turf farms also provide much of the grass Sydney's elite sports men and women use at the state's premier stadiums.

In keeping with the living options, business in the Hawkesbury is certainly a mix of traditional and modern; a best of both worlds, with artisan producers and specialty traders alongside popular chain stores.

While located on the northern outskirts of Sydney, Hawkesbury is still close enough to make all necessities within reach.

The area is well known for Hawkesbury Race Club as it is for being home to polo clubs and other equine facilities.

It also hosts one of the most successful annual agricultural shows in the country; a three day event, which attracts 10s of thousands of showgoers and the finest in locally grown produce and livestock.
