Two men have been hospitalised with stab wounds after a violent home invasion by an armed man on the Central Coast.
The men, aged 31 and 57, were allegedly attacked by another man who forced entry to a unit at Booker Bay, south-east of Woy Woy, early Sunday morning. The armed man left the scene in a vehicle before the arrival of emergency services.
Police were called to the unit at about 1.45am on Sunday and found the two men suffering from stab wounds.
The 57-year-old man has had surgery to stitch up wounds to his shoulder and his stomach area, including his liver and bowel. He is in a serious but stable condition at Gosford Hospital. The 31-year-old man had stab wounds to his shoulder and is in a satisfactory condition, a hospital spokesman said.
A crime scene has been established at the home. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
